Indigo Buntings

Males are a beautiful overall bright blue, with a few black markings. Females are an overall tan with a slight blue tinge that may show in the wings and tail. They are a migratory bird, spending winters in southern parts of Texas and Florida.

These songbirds prefer black oil and hulled sunflower seeds, nyjer and white prosso millet. They will visit any feeder type and commonly also feed on the ground below the bird feeder.
