DESIGN LOGIC
TUBES ARE THE UNIVERSAL STARTING FEEDER.
The simplicity of the design is why tube feeders dominate the bird feeding market: they work for the widest range of species, they're easy to fill and clean, they keep seed contained (reducing waste and ground debris compared to open tray feeders), and they're available at every price point from basic plastic to field-tested polycarbonate.
DEFINING DESIGN TRAITS
Easy to clean seed reservoir keeps seed protected from elements
Perch & Port seed access allows birds to cling, assuming their natural feeding posture
DESIGN BENEFITS
Holds more seed with less waste
Attracts the widest variety of birds
Easy to fill, clean, and maintain

WHAT FOOD FITS
Port size and mesh size determines what seeds can be dispensed and what birds can use the feeder. Standard ports (typically 7/16" or larger) work for black-oil sunflower, safflower, and mixed seed. Nyjer ports are much smaller — typically 3/32" to 1/8" — and are too small for sunflower to pass through. Using sunflower in a nyjer feeder clogs the ports immediately; using a standard port tube for nyjer allows the seed to pour out rather than be extracted. Match the port size to the seed type.

FEEDERS SHOULDN'T NEED REPLACING.
SO WE BUILT ONES THAT DON'T.
When Bird's Choice was founded in 1992, the market was full of wood feeders that cracked within a season, swelled shut after rain, and grew mold that harmed the birds they were meant to attract. Our founders asked a simple question: what if a bird feeder was so well-made and so weather-proof that replacing it simply never came up?
The answer shaped everything - the material we chose, the factory we built, the products we designed. It guided our first feeder and it still guides every decision made in Chilton today.
What we build lasts.
Our Sunflower Seed Bird Feeder in Red is a testament to our quality. It was the feeder we started with and continues to stand the test of time. High-capacity, durable and thoughtfully designed in 1992, and still invites a variety of birds to backyards in America and beyond. Featuring a vibrant red, polyester powder-coated top and bottom and a stainless steel mesh screen, this feeder is both eye-catching and built to last.
