Patented design to accommodate a woodpecker's long tongue and bill while deterring other pest birds, such as grackles, starlings and other blackbirds. The feeder was originally designed for skinny suet cakes that are no longer available. Use our spreadable suet in this feeder (CSS or CSS8). Spreadable suet not included.
Directions: Unscrew the two knurled nuts and remove the front plate. Fill with our spreadable suet. Replace the front plate and nuts. Hang on your favorite tree, branch or pole.
